I’ve been dreaming of a sweater like this for winter. The perfect combination of minimal and chic, the Rio sweater has bell sleeves that give it a subtle element of pizzazz. Slightly cropped, it hits right below the waistband and has a high-low hem.
Wear the Rio with literally any pant and you will be cozy all day long. For a faux jumpsuit look, pair the Rio with the matching Ryan trousers for an elevated one-and-done outfit.
Below are 4 new ways to wear the Rio sweater:
Outfit 1: California Preppy

Remember when it was trendy to layer crewneck sweaters over button-up shirts? That used to be me with the large bauble necklaces. I’ve moved on from that phase of my life, but I do appreciate layering! I layered the Granada shirt under the Rio sweater in camel paired with jeans and oxfords for a modified preppy look.

Outfit 2: Is It a Skirt or a Dress?

Pro tip — layer cropped sweaters over your dresses to make it look like a skirt! I’m wearing the Rio sweater over the Avery Slip dress (recently sold out) for a versatile look. Pair your outfit with booties and you have a dressy outfit for a night-in at home, ha!

Outfit 3: 90’s Feminine Grunge

This is my version of the 90’s grunge look with a hint of feminine. I tucked the Rio sweater into my underwear (thank you, Arq) to wear under my Amor Shift dress in black corduroy. Paired with black Blundstones, this outfit would’ve been a hit in the 90’s.

Outfit 4: Cozy and Warm

I called our new brushed organic cotton twill a sweater fabric because of how soft it is on your skin. It definitely isn’t like a sweatpant, but more of a flannel. It’s still light, but warm. Paired with the Lena pant and layered over a turtleneck it makes for a perfect winter outfit.
