Over the weekend, I put our new Bosque garments to the test while camping in Utah. With a low temperature in the 40’s, I knew it would be perfect to see if our brushed organic cotton twill is winter-friendly. On this particular morning, the temperature was in the 50’s and I was beyond comfortable in this outfit. If it were colder, I would’ve added more layers underneath.
I took the Rio sweater in camel and Ryan trousers in olive for my trip. They are the easiest to wear and the most comfortable. Putting a jumpsuit on in a tent doesn’t sound like a good time and the toilet/outhouse situation alone would’ve dissuaded me from wearing a one-piece.
Both the Rio and Ryans kept me warm and cozy during breakfast. I love how the statement sleeves on the Rio elevate this camping outfit. The slightly cropped length and high-low hem make the Rio easy to wear with any bottom.
The Ryan trousers in olive sweater were the perfect no fuss bottom for camping. They are warm and great at hiding dirt/stains. The brushed sweater fabric feels almost like flannel, but looks like a cotton twill. The tapered leg design makes folding the hem easy if wearing boots. All in all, it’s the pant you’d want to wear all winter long.
Even though I only wore the Rio and Ryans together, I had thought about the many ways I could wear these two garments. They pair so easily with what I already own such as leggings and turtleneck. I’m glad they passed the camping test because it’s the first time I took my designs outdoors. Now I can say, the Bosque is meant for the bosque.
