Before buying the special lady in your life a Christmas gift, take a look at Soko’s website and admire all of the beautiful handmade jewelry. Now let out a sigh of relief because you don’t have to spend hundreds on modern jewelry that was made by artisans in Kenya from natural and recycled brass.
The pendant necklace and pyramid earrings I am wearing in these photos are from Soko’s newest collaboration with Pencils of Promise. Together, they are creating access to education by building schools in Ghana. The collection features modern and minimal jewelry that your special lady can wear with any outfit ranging from $30-$70. Talk about budget friendly! Soko will donate 20% of their total revenues of the collection to further Pencils of Promise’s mission. You won’t only be buying beautiful jewelry, but also donating to a wonderful cause that is providing access to the 250 million children that lack basic reading, writing and math skills.
Whenever I talk to people about ethical and sustainable fashion, I always tell them to buy the product because of the design and not just the cause. You aren’t doing anyone a favor by purchasing a product out of pity. However, Soko’s products are truly items you will want to buy and wear often because they are beautifully crafted and will enhance any outfit. I would know because I wear the necklace and earrings several times a week.
Sample products were gifted by Soko for this post, but all opinions expressed are my own. 🙂
