Since we’ve been on the topic of natural beauty products, I decided to make and test out a product I use almost daily. I use hairspray when I put my hair up, and lately, that is almost every day. Without it, my hair just looks messy. I found this DIY natural hairspray recipe on Zero Waste Home and thought I’d give it a try.
This DIY is so easy because you can find these ingredients at home such as lemons and vodka. It also takes about 10 minutes to do (minus the cooking time).
½ tbsp. Vodka
Slice the lemons and cover with water in a saucepan. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Strain the liquid into a mason jar and add the vodka. Mix well and pour the liquid into the bottle.
*I used the mason jar to store the rest of the hairspray since my spray bottle is pretty tiny.
See how easy that is?! I’ve been using the hairspray and it works really well. It holds my hair in place while not making it look stiff.
