If someone were to ask me how to define my “Everyday Style” I’d have to define it with three words: Functional, Fashionable, and Fearless.
Functional, because I’m in the season of motherhood where I get to chase toddlers, change diapers, and nurse my baby all day every day. So what I wear needs to be comfortable and able to meet all those needs, which is why I’m wearing jeans under the Eve Tunic. Not only does it add another level of comfort, but it also allows me to nurse my baby by lifting the tunic.
Fashionable, because I truly enjoy the concept of dress up! This doesn’t mean wearing what looks like a costume everyday, but simply applying what I’ve learned in fashion to my everyday looks and just having fun with it!
Fearless, because I don’t really follow any rules when it comes to my personal style. If I enjoy a certain combination, I’ll wear it! Now I’m not saying I wear my pants backwards or don’t practice modesty, but sometimes I can do some funky things! White pants after Labor Day? Yep! A dress over pants? My favorite! Pajamas all day?! Yes please! Haha.
I’m a huge believer that we should be confident in our own personal style, and not feel the need to follow every status quo and fleeting trend. We can allow them to inspire us, and hey! Copying a concept is a lovely compliment to the trend setter, but never feel the need to wear something that you don’t feel 100% comfortable in. Getting ready each day shouldn’t be the biggest decision you make, but it can be a fun one!
