Last weekend, J planned a road trip for my birthday to New Mexico and Arizona. We stayed in Santa Fe for the first two days of our trip making a stop at Ojo Caliente, which is a mineral springs resort. The following two days were spent in Sedona eating amazing food and spending time outdoors.
Ojo Caliente was one of the best hot springs I’ve ever visited. It was sulfur-free, which is amazing because I can’t stand the smell of sulfur and was nestled in the mountains. There were about 6 pools with different healing properties and a mud bath. Each pool contained different minerals that either helped with digestion, skin conditions or arthritis. Surrounding the hot springs were hiking trails and areas to sit and relax.
On our second day, we visited downtown Santa Fe to drink coffee and buy souvenirs. We didn’t stay too long because we were leaving for Sedona that afternoon, but managed to spend a couple of hours shopping. The weather was beautiful and fall-like and we absolutely loved it.
