Technically, it has been available the past 3 weeks, but I’ve been so consumed with the launch, popups, and our entire house getting sick that I haven’t had the chance to write about this new collection.
So let me introduce you to my favorite, the Sand Collection. It was designed for easy summer living with clean lines and fabrics to keep you cool.
The Via is a dusty rose dress made with the same modal I use for the Jersey Swing dress and Lena pant. It wraps fully around like a kimono, so you don’t have to worry about it opening while walking. The Via has capped sleeves so it covers your shoulders, but still allows for air in the armpit region. I’ve worn it every week since I first made a sample.
The Amalfi Dress is a button down apron style dress made with a striped blue fabric. I love the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine with the big 4-hole buttons, thick shoulder straps, and feminine silhouette. It was originally supposed to be in a neutral striped fabric, but the blue is so much better! It all worked out in the end 🙂
The Lisbon Wrap is a new type of wrap crop top that buttons instead of ties. It can be worn 4 ways and is our most versatile piece. I love wearing it paired with our Barcelona shorts. My seamstress is the one who came up with this design! I had something similar in mind and she took my idea and ran with it making this super versatile top.
The Barcelona shorts are designed after the Ryan trousers, but are slightly different. They are more narrow underneath the waistband and have two subtle pleats. One of the reasons customers didn’t love the Ryan trousers were because of how the fabric gathered under the waistband so we improved it by making it slimmer.
The Lyla crop is a customer favorite, but is now better than before because it’s slimmer, longer, and made with a linen that wrinkles less. I’m so in love with the revised version.
Thank you so much for your wonderful response to the Sand Collection! It has been a dream to make.
