As part of this series on Gold Polka Dots, I will highlight sustainable brands made in the good ole US of A because I know first hand it isn’t easy buying only American made clothing.
Today it is all about the elegant skirts and dresses from Corilynn. I am IN LOVE with their items and wish I can have it all. I especially love that price wise; they are on par with J. Crew and Banana Republic. Classy clothes aren’t cheap my friends especially if they are manufactured here. Regardless, it is a price I am more than willing to pay because I’m not only buying clothes, but also the peace of mind that they were made in decent conditions.
Like I mentioned in my post last week, indie fashion designers have to pay 14 times more to manufacture here than in developing countries. Crazy, right? Well Corilynn is hoping to expand their brand and make more gorgeous dresses, skirts and blouses by crowd sourcing through Kickstarter. They have a campaign to raise $30,000 and are half way there. Depending on how much you pledge, you could get one of their new items at a discounted price. Check out my favorites below!
I really hope they reach their goal! Good Luck, Corilynn!
